**The Kite Academy Trust, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)**

**Location**: Surrey/ Hampshire border

**Reports to**: Trustees

**Responsible for**: Director of Operations, Director of Finance, Head of Improvement, Executive Head Teachers, Executive Assistant

On the retirement of our current CEO, we are looking for an exceptional, effective leader for the next stage of development and future growth of the Kite Academy Trust.

The Kite Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust consisting of 10 primary schools on the Surrey/Hampshire border. Established in 2015 by five local primary schools with a shared vision of providing high quality education, our mission is ‘Together we inspire a lifelong love of learning, which enables all our children to achieve more than they ever believed possible’.

The CEO is accountable for the success of the Trust and the performance of all our academies and will therefore be a driven, ambitious leader who can motivate and empower others.
- A demonstratable understanding of, and commitment to, the Trust’s mission, vision and values;
- A strong understanding of the operation of educational trusts;
- A proven track record in successful leadership within a multi-academy trust and the confidence to utilise and embrace the expertise of teams you build as CEO;
- Commitment to ensuring that the children are at the heart of the Trust’s Operations;
- Highly effective, resilient and inspirational leadership with a passion for developing others and delivering the Trust strategy for the future;
- Familiarity with managing good business practices whilst being innovative in business planning, compliance, risk management, quality assurance and governance;
- The ability to support, challenge, and work in collaboration with Trustees, Executive Team, Academy Heads and Managers whilst displaying empathy and purpose;
- A proven ability to embrace a marketing role as the face of the Trust;
- The ability to ensure the continuing viability and potential for growth of the Trust through sound business and financial strategies;
- Experience of effectively managing a complex and varied workload.
