A fantastic opportunity for a **Supply Chain Planner** to join a global leading manufacturing and distribution company based in **St Ives, Cambridgeshire**. Working within the Supply Chain department the role is responsible for managing the forecasts relating to products, monitoring inventory levels, and communicating with other departments and suppliers across Europe and USA. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is happy to take ownership of their work and able to hit the ground running.

**Main responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner** **include**:

- Generating forecasts and plans relating to material and product requirements
- Managing these forecasts across the entire supply chain process: _calculate, produce, place, expedite and deliver._
- Continuously monitor inventory levels against on-going sales performance to ensure targets are met across all warehouses.
- Liaison with other departments regarding availability and supply of product and relating to payments and invoices.
- Providing data for conducting sales and inventory analysis reports for European and US teams.
- Providing data for and attend monthly forecasting meetings with regional teams.
- Ensuring accuracy of system data relating to supply, availability and item planning date, including e-sales, availability reports and Item Master.

**Skills and Experience required of the Assistant Buyer**:

- Excellent communication skills (Both written and verbal)
- Advanced MS Office skills (mostly Excel)
- Proficient in creating and interrogating spreadsheets/interpreting data
- Good numeracy skills
- Previous ERP or MRP system experience
- Positive and confident attitude

This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within supply chain, forecasting or materials management as a supply chain planner, demand planner, material controller or material planner.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£34,500.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- Saint Ives: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
