I am recruiting for a **Day Centre Manger** for my client’s service in Ealing. My client, a leading **charity** specialising in supporting adults with **Physical and Learning Disabilities**is looking for a new manager to take the reins of a thriving service. You will ensure that the needs of the adults with **PMLD** are assessed, identified and met through careful programme planning and behavioural support as well as ensuring they are supported to get involved in a busy activities schedule. You will manage the budget to provide an efficient service;supervise and manage staff performance and coordinate positive liaison with external agencies and the multi-disciplinary team.
You will be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of people with PMLD and passionate about supporting them to live as independently as possible. Experience of managing a team is absolutely essential. You will have an excellent working knowledgeof care standards and related legislation as well as accurate and detailed report writing skills.
**Key Responsibilities of a Day Centre Manager**:

- Develop and maintain a responsive support service to people with PMLD
- Ensure that support is provided in an effective, efficient and sustainable way resulting in outcomes in line with individuals’ support plans
- Play a leading role in the development and maintenance of excellent relationships relations with people we support and their relatives and advocates
- Be creative in your approach to implementing an exciting activity offering and schedule
- To write, implement and monitor plans
- Provide mentoring and assist with the development and management to the support teams
- Assist with ensuring that staff have access to appropriate learning and development opportunities that ensure excellent support to individuals in line with support agreements and legal and regulatory compliance

**Day Centre ManagerRequirements**:

- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative framework/ regulatory requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of PMLD, Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
- An understanding of the principles of Health and Safety
- Previous experience of supervising / managing staff
