Are you someone with excellent communication and organisational skills? Do you enjoy working as part of a dynamic team? Does a role that offers variety and the chance to make a difference appeal to you? If so, this new and exciting opportunity to join our new Frailty Unit at Grantham District Hospital could be for you.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with strong IT skills, who can use their own initiative and will ensure our mixed LCHS and ULHT Clinical Team on the unit is provided with high quality administrative support. The post is based at Grantham Hospital but there are Ward Coordinators in each of the 4 other Community Hospitals across the county. You will work in a team with them and sometimes you may be required to travel to any of our four hospital sites if the need arose.
You will be responsible for clinical system administration for patients attending both assessment chairs and inpatient beds. There will be a mix of LCHS and ULHT systems, as well as liaison with various services within each Trust. You will support with audits, DATIX and other quality, safety and improvement activities and meetings, also assisting with the investigation of complaints. You will support with Health Roster maintenance related administration or communication with staff to ensure safe staffing levels on the ward at all time. You may be required to manage charitable funds and associated administration.
There will also be responsibilities to support the ward with organising and implementing discharge of patients from the rehabilitation beds; this will include liaising with clinicians to complete administrative elements of plans, as well as provide a coordinator function to maintain the progress of the overall discharge plans.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagementin the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
