Role: Sales Account Manager
Location: Skipton

**Salary**: £12.50 per hour

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Sales Account Manager to join their team in Skipton.

Overview of the role:

- To have a clear understanding of the departments business objectives and be able to support the team to effectively deliver them.
- To provide focused, dedicated support to all external and internal customers.
- To be proactive in the continual improvement of customer services, enabling us to fulfil all customer requirements in a timely and professional manner.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Build effective relationships with customers in order to pre-empt all of their needs, including customer site visits with the Business Development Team where required.
- To build accurate forecasts for your customer portfolio which are regularly updated and communicated as required internally.
- Accurate processing of orders and credit notes, preparing weekly stock sheets, monthly sales and stock figures, specification sheets and annual waste figures.
- To be the first point of contact for new sales enquiries from external Business Development Team and directly from customers. To process those enquiries as directed by internal procedures.
- Ensuring new enquiries and specifications are managed through the end to end process to ensure timely turnaround.
- Daily cross functional liaising with external Business Development Team, credit control, the warehouse team, production and design.
- Being proactive in maintaining our high standard of OTIF by correctly reporting complaints, prompt provision of technical information and responding to customers once the complaint has been investigated and resolved.
- Updating ERP records to ensure the most up to date customer data is always available.
- Actively assisting in the management of aged stock.
- Attending and participating in team meetings where required to ensure all members are fully briefed of any changes.
- To upsell/cross sell where applicable and to outbound call to attract new customers/book appointments for new business development team.
- To achieve KPI’s set for the department and individuals.
- To assist in internal audits where required.

Essential requirements for the role:

- Previous experience of account management/sales
- Used to being the "face of the organisation"
- A proactive and positive outlook
- Effective time management prioritising and multi-tasking
- Strong MS Office skills
- Can demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player - prepared to help with all tasks
- Flexible approach managing work within the specific deadlines

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience within the packaging industry
- Demonstrable experience of customer relationship management

In your job role you, will be in regular contact with Customers, Commercial Director, Commercial Supply Chain Manager, Group Sales director, External sales team Warehouse manager, Production Planning Team and Colleagues across the UK business unit so itis essential that you have strong communication skills.
