A bit about us

2024 is a big year for us as we turn 200 years young We are proud of our long standing history in campaigning for a better world for animal welfare. We were the first to introduce a law to protect animals and have been working hard ever since to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering.

We are currently recruiting for an Animal Care Assistant to join our team at Felledge Animal Centre on a full time, permanent basis to provide care for all animals in the centre, establish good customer relations and maintain administration and health and safety procedures.

**Working hours**: Average 17.5 hours over a two week rolling rota, working 3 full days (0830 - 1630) in week one and 2 full days the second week, including alternate weekends.

ach year Felledge Animal Centre becomes home to hundreds of animals that our inspectors rescue from cruelty, abandonment and neglect. Our staff provide specialist treatment and rehabilitation to give the animals a happy second start in life. Together with the help of our volunteers they work to meet the animals' physical and mental needs until they are ready to be adopted.

Our vision is a society where no animal suffers unnecessarily. Some animals that come to us have been mistreated, kept in awful conditions or left without free access to food or water. They may arrive terrified and it's up to us to try and work out why and bring them round to trusting people again. We do this on a daily basis with a dedicated team that we're extremely proud of.
