**About the Role**We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Expert to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide professional advice and strategic support across all levels of our Healthcare business. Your expertise will help us navigate the complexities of logistics and legislation, identify risks and opportunities, validate innovations, and implement tactical improvements to elevate our healthcare Portering and services.

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Strategic Development**: Craft and implement Healthcare’s Logistics Strategy and develop policies and procedures to ensure a compliant, standardized, and efficient logistics service.
- ** Technical Expertise**: Collaborate with Healthcare Operations Directors, Operations Teams, and Support functions to offer operational and technical guidance.
- Innovation and Technology: Lead the integration and standardization of technology across all Medirest contracts, including SOP development and best practice implementation.
- Compliance and Communication: Ensure adherence to logistic legislation and maintain effective communication processes to promote continuous improvement and cost-effective **services.**:

- ** Audit and Risk Management**:Conduct logistic audits, manage risk assessments, and maintain a central Logistics risk register.
- ** Training and Development**: Coordinate training requirements and development plans with the Compass National Lead and operations teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with NHSI, Fire Service, Local Authorities, and other relevant bodies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive service-related continuous improvement initiatives and support sales and retention activities with market-leading solutions.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**
- ** Communication and Teamwork**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong team player, and proficient in stakeholder management.
- ** Technical and Organisational Skills**: Strong technical aptitude, good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- ** Problem-Solving and Initiative**: Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, a proactive approach, and the capacity to work independently and meet project deadlines.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Formal management or industry-recognised qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of logistics management experience, preferably within complex NHS environments.
- Licensed by the Industry Authority with comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation.
- CIWM (WAMITAB) accreditation and Lean Six Sigma accreditation are desirable.
