**Responsibilities**:

- Provide personalized one-on-one support for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies in conjunction with the class teacher and PMLD specialists.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, ensuring the safety and well-being of each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence, communication, and social development.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and interdisciplinary team to assess progress, adapting instructional approaches to meet individual needs.
- Facilitate the use of specialized equipment and resources, such as sensory tools and communication aids.
- Cultivate strong relationships with parents and caregivers, maintaining transparent and open communication channels.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working with individuals who have profound and multiple learning disabilities, preferably within an educational or care setting.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of various PMLD conditions and associated support strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills, showcasing the ability to tailor communication methods to individual needs.
- Demonstrate genuine compassion, patience, and empathy, with a dedicated commitment to supporting students with complex needs.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability, recognizing that the role may involve working with students across different age groups and abilities.
- Possess a valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Hold relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
