You will play a crucial role in providing both academic and pastoral support to students, helping them thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

Make learning enjoyable and encourage lesson engagement
Support each child and their individual needs
Build a strong relationship with every pupil to ensure they achieve their potential
In order to be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant role, the candidate must:

Have the right to work in the UK
Drive and have access to a car
Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks
Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one
Be committed to safeguarding
Be adaptable, enthusiastic and enjoy working with young people of all backgrounds

The SEN Teaching Assistant role requires a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must undergo all necessary background checks, including an enhanced child DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
