Are you passionate about creating delicious sweet and savoury food in the heart of the Lake District?
More? The Artisan Bakery is seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our team, helping the cafe continue to deliver totally taste driven food to our customers. Renowned for its amazing sandwiches, smash burgers and adventurous brunch items, the kitchen team have the unique opportunity of having freshly baked bread and pastries from our bakery delivered fresh from the oven for their menu. Staff enjoy a great work life balance of working daytime shifts, belonging to a passionate and highly skilled team with strong leadership and direction.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Collaborate with the management team to create menus that meet customer preferences, seasonal availability and trends
- Maintain proper food production techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
This is a family run business, taking a staff centred, collaborative approach to decision making, happy staff are central to our success.
**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
