**Full Time Kitchen Porter**

The Watermill Inn and Brewery is situated in the village of Ings just by the A591 between Windermere and Kendal.

We are a busy Inn all year round who pride ourselves in serving locally sourced pub food and serving our own brewed hand-pulled ales.

**Kitchen Porter Duties**:

- Support the kitchen team in the production of food and maintaining food hygiene to the highest standards.
- To be responsible for the wash-up area for crockery, cutlery & kitchen equipment.
- To assist with basic food preparation when required. Full training will be given to our successful kitchen porter.
- To clean the kitchen and kitchen equipment as directed and following the kitchen cleaning schedule.
- Other general duties that contribute to a smoothly run kitchen.

**Your day to day;**
- Responsible for the cleanliness standards of the kitchens, storage areas, wash-up areas and goods entrance areas.
- Checking and putting away deliveries.
- Daily cleaning, deep cleaning and sanitising the kitchen as required and directed by the supervising chef.
- Operating the dishwashing machine effectively and safely
- Controlling stock levels of the kitchen cleaning materials, including cloths, bin liners, mop buckets and detergents
- Disposing of waste materials correctly.
- Helping with vegetable preparation or other occasional food preparation as requested by the supervising chef.

**What you will receive from us**:

- £12.00 per hour (over 21s)

£9.00 per hour (18-20)

£8.00 per hour Under 18s

- 28 days annual leave (pro-rata in line with hours worked)

**Job description**:
Pay :£8.00-12.00 per hour (dependant on age)

- Ings: unfortunately, we are unable to offer live in. We are between Staveley and Windermere close to the bus route of Stagecoach’s 555.
