As an **Applications Engineer**, you will make a major impact on the business through your expertise, strong communication and organisational skills. Does this sound like you?
**Role Responsibilities**:
- To support all activities for demo preparation, capability studies, machine concept prove out, within allocated projects, utilising team members expertise when required.
- Support business development and marketing in the generation of technical information, marketing material, case studies, particularly within the allocated customer segments.
- Support existing customers including helpdesk and provide new customers with training and software support.
- Project Programming and Turnkey solutions of customer components.
- Contract programming/measurement.
- Installation and setup of Software, while keeping up to day with the latest software and hardware developments.
- Respond to customer breakdowns / support issues. Highlighting problems & escalating any appropriate issues to supervisors.
**Your experience**:
**Essential**:
- Experience in a metrology/ quality environment.
- Experience within a customer facing role, as a representative for the business. (Independently)
- Working in a role requiring flexibility to balance multiple priorities / customer requests.
- Experienced in problem solving.
- Manual dexterity, hand/eye co-ordination; experienced in handling delicate or sensitive components / equipment
- Working in a project-based role as the lead representative.
**Desirable**:
- Experience of directly equivalent technology
- Experience within medical sector / medical device manufacturing
- Experience within automotive sector / automotive manufacturing
- Experience within aerospace sector / aerospace manufacturing
- Experience of sales / business development and or supporting sales activities.
- Project management and leadership.
**Your qualifications**:
**Essential**:
- Technical Apprenticeship (completed) or
- HNC or higher in technical qualification such as metrology or engineering.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Permitted to work throughout Ireland and UK; able to travel to Germany and USA for training
- Experience working / balancing multiple projects / customer requests
**Desirable**:
- HND or above or equivalent in a technical qualification: metrology; engineering.
- Specific training or equivalent competitor products, e.g. coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and CT machines.
- Project management related qualifications
