- Work closely with study teams including Trial Coordinators and Research Paramedics from other organisations.
- Work closely with the YAS Research & Development Manager and Head of Research and Development.
- Establish and develop a professional working relationship with staff at all levels, other health and social care professionals and external agencies.
- Promote and protect the equality, diversity and rights of others.
- Assist in the promotion of a fair and just culture by being open, honest, supportive and respectful to others.
- Ensure that all project procedures are undertaken as required by the study protocol and that all reporting activities are compliant with those specified therein.
- Ensure accurate data collection, collation and report writing as required by and agreed with study teams.
- It is the responsibility of each member of staff to ensure that they maintain the confidentiality and security of all information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the principles of Caldicott.
- Staff must be aware of and adhere to the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act and to ensure their own safety and the safety of colleagues and patients.
- Staff should be aware of their individual responsibilities under the Equal Opportunities Policy and ensure that they adhere to the provisions of the policy.
- Individuals are also required to comply with the policies, procedures and protocols in place within the Trust.
- Act as a local point of contact for advice and information on Trust research governance polices, including providing information on NHS research governance arrangements.

Represent the Trust at appropriate national committees / groups, and local meetings as required.
- Work alongside participating Paramedics and local study Research Nurse to ensure a coordinated approach for all study activities.
- Maintain clinical registration and clinical skills and knowledge for the duration of this post.
- Support study set-up and close-down procedures, maintaining delegation logs, local site-file, and electronic study databases as required.
- Keep accurate records of the progress of all research activity in preparation for audits and inspections.
- Ensure continued professional development, keeping updated with current practice and training and maintaining up to date knowledge of research related developments.
- Attend local and national meetings as appropriate.
- Professionally handle and report any difficult / specific research issues by following the agreed processes for the project.
- The role will be largely autonomous and the post-holder will be required to manage their own workload, and working within their remit, seek support when required.
