Transport Coordinator

Omagh, United Kingdom OX Seven Full time

I am looking for a Transport Coordinator to join our global logistics client, based in Northern Ireland, about 90 minutes from Belfast.

Having a background in transport is essential for this role as you will be a key part of the team who ensure that machinery equipment is shipped and transported worldwide.

Now some of the shapes and sizes of the equipment is not conventional, so sometimes you will be playing a big game of Tetris for the more awkward loads.

You will be a strong administrator as you assist in a wide range of tasks. You will be a key link in the company, keeping all departments updated on the status of different loads. You will be a problem solver, as you find solutions to any issues that arise.

You’re going to need to be comfortable client facing, as you will communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure that all loads are hauled off when they should be to meet shipping deadlines.

Despite the fact the company has grown (and continues to grow), they have maintained a great ‘family feel’ environment, where they build people up and trust them to get the job done. You will work closely with the transport team which offers a great opportunity to absorb all of their knowledge

This is a Monday to Friday office role in Dromore (not the one right by Belfast). They have a lovely rural office and have cultivated a brilliant culture, so you’ll enjoy being part of the team there

Salary wise you will be looking at between £22,000 - £24,000 depending on your experience. You will also benefit from great career growth opportunities and work part of a fantastic progressive organisation.

We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
