Team CDDFT speech and language therapy are pleased to advertise an exciting Specialist Speech and Language Therapy post which includes a number of development opportunities in a wide range of communication and dysphagia adult acquired neurological disorders within our well supported community Speech and Language Therapy team. The Band 5/6 Annex U post will be supported by senior staff to ensure that the successful applicant develops a broad range of dysphagia and communication competencies that meet the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy standards.

This exciting opportunity to work with a diverse and interesting community adult neurological caseload requires at least one year of general experience working as a speech and language therapist with completed dysphagia competencies to be appointed at Band 6. However, if you do not yet meet the essential criteria to be appointed at Band 6 you would initially be appointed at Band 5. We will provide professional development opportunities to enable career development; once the essential requirements of the Band 6 person specification are met you will be appointed to a Band 6. You would be expected to achieve this within 12 months of appointment with peer support and clinical supervision
