This role will provide Quality leadership to the clinical and care professional network for the - Place Based Partnership (PBP), and to the other Clinical & Care Professional PBP Leads and Director within the PBP across the range of portfolio areas.

The Clinical and Care Professional Quality PBP Lead will engage partners from across health and social care, public health and wider Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, who will be instrumental in sharing insight and intelligence into inform local quality matters. They will identify opportunities for improvement and concerns/ risks to quality, and develop Place level responses to support ongoing quality improvement for the local population.

As the focus of the role is quality within the PBP, it will involve representing the PBP at relevant Place based forums, identifying issues of concern and sharing improvements

To always have citizens, patients, carers and families at the heart of decision making and pathway development.

To be clinically aware, ensuring a rounded view of all aspects of care provision that may have an impact on the quality of care. This includes maintaining a thorough understanding of issues that may be presented by wider multidisciplinary and multiagency organisations.

To support the understanding of quality ambitions in Place.

Be an advocate for ensuring that all aspects of care provided are safe, effective and provide a good experience.

To ensure that matters affecting quality are escalated in the most appropriate manner, and to work with colleagues to ensure that people understand the current systems in place.

To maintain credibility with all key players within the community, fostering a culture of collaboration for the delivery of equitable, high quality care. At times this will include acting as an ‘honest broker’ reconciling conflicting views and interests.

Risk Management
You are required to contribute to the control of risk and use the incident reporting system to alert the ICB of incidents or near misses that may compromise the quality of services.

You should be a clinical or care qualified (which includes social work) professional, have exceptional communication skills and be confident at working to develop effective relationships and work in partnership.

You should have a strong, demonstrable understanding of current health and social care national aims and policies in your chosen specialist area as well as robust local knowledge of the determinants and barriers to providing user focused services in this area.
