The Kier Degree apprenticeship programme offers you the opportunity to study for a degree, completely cost free, all whilst gaining practical experience in our industry.

**Location**: Salford, Greater Manchester with Travel to Mersey Travel Depot and/or Salford Station

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**: £19,200 per annum - With an earning potential of £35k+ upon completion of the course

**Start date**: Summer 2024

**How does a degree apprenticeship work?**

As a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc Quantity Surveyor with our university partner, Sheffield Hallam, **with **all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.**

You'll be working within the Kier Rail team, supporting a wide range of rail infrastructure projects for a diverse customer base. Our projects range from major improvements to complete construction of new stations, with specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to delivery.

Your day to day will include:

- Working on procurement, and assisting with budgets needed to finalise agreements
- Assisting the team with value and risk management
- Supporting the commercial team with cost control, analysis and estimates
- attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course

**What are we looking for?**

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

- Level 4 or above in GCSE maths and English
- 2 A-Levels
- Level 3 BTEC National Certificate/Diploma/Extended Diploma **Or **Advanced Diploma in a construction related topic
- Other Level 3 BTEC qualifications will also be considered, preferably with some work experience

**Due to the nature of the role and projects, you must hold a full driving licence.**
