Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Kier Group is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to play a crucial role in managing project costs and ensuring the successful delivery of high-value construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize project costs from inception to completion, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor and control project finances, managing variations and preparing detailed financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk, value management, and cost control exercises to minimize project risks and maximize returns.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction processes and industry regulations.
  • Possess strong knowledge of contract law, financial management, and industry-specific software and tools.
  • Have a proven track record in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting, with experience in managing complex construction projects.
  • Be proficient in using industry-specific software and tools, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
