**Enabling our customers to live safely. That’s when it hits home**
We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our customers with their goals to gain more independence as well as build resilience to help improve their outcomes ready for their move on into their own accommodation in the community.
Our customers live in a supported housing service in their own fully self-contained flat and have access to communal facilities within the service. You would be primarily based in the office at the service where we have facilities to assist us in a mission to help and support some of the most vulnerable persons in Gateshead. We help our customers achieve goals around their housing and other support needs by working in a person-centred way to help promote independent tenancy skills as well improve their health, wellbeing and resilience.
**About you**

We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. You’ll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a supportive environment dealing with customers with various complex needs. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group However it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe)
**Working hours**
You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 8am and 8pm and will take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you
It’s important to add that our rota was built up by the front line team and gives a really good home life balance.
**Customer quote**
I really enjoyed taking part in activities and support sessions at Juniper House and I now have a place of my own.
**About our team**
At the service you will meet staff who have a wealth of Home Group knowledge and intermingle with colleagues from all different departments with different specialities.
- When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._
