**SUMMARY**:
The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for the quality assurance practices within their team and works across teams to ensure overall product quality and performance. This role provides oversight and direction to QA and test resources regarding projects, tasks, and operations for the function of Software Quality Assurance. Acts as an advisor and serves as a liaison to other functions within the team regarding quality. Participates in the full product lifecycle including requirements definition and design reviews to ensure that the solution will perform according to specified requirements and conform to quality guidelines. Provides hands-on assistance to project Quality Assurance efforts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks with minimum direction. Attention to detail and a wide degree of creativity and latitude are expected.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Directs the day-to-day activities of QA team members & contractors to establish priorities and ensure commitments are met
- Identifies, develops and drives QA strategies and best practices. Establishes quality assurance guidelines, standards and measurements. Partners with the QA Manager, Development Team leaders and other QA teammates to collaboratively implement those solutions consistently across all teams
- Works closely with Sr. QA and QA Managers to define regression and integration test plans that fully encompass the solution
- Architects test data
- Executes regression, integration and functional test cases and test scripts. Provides analysis of test results
- Works closely with software architects and developers early in the product cycle to influence quality from the beginning of all projects
- Administers and provides training for key development lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps
- Keeps up-to-date with current software quality assurance trends and technologies in order to leverage SQA best practices and tools.
- Partners with Scrum Masters and QA Managers to maintain full awareness of resource constraints/conflicts and develop plans to ensure all commitments are managed and met
- Encourages and supports the career development of team members through coaching, mentoring, training, and providing new challenges and opportunities to grow
- Provides regular feedback to QA team members.
- Fosters a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Superior knowledge of software testing methodology and the software development life cycle
- Extensive experience with defect management processes and tools
- Ability to evangelize quality assurance and testing methodology and procedures as needed, balancing structure with organizational needs
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction
- Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills
- Excellent follow through and attention to detail
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent collaborative and teamwork skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- QA Certification such as Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), or Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and Test Manager
- Experience working with the Agile Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of the online learning and the education market

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
