Baltic Recruitment are delighted to partner with a longstanding client of ours in their search for an experienced HSE Officer/Advisor to join their team.
**Overall Purpose**:
- The purpose of this role involves keeping employees safe at work and reducing accidents.
**Key Duties**:
- Measuring safety performance against standard metrics and driving improvement to key H&S principles.
- Manage external contractors and reporting to engage the business in improvements.
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations, HSE guidelines and associated ACOPs.
- Support and drive continuous improvement activities by collecting data, performing analysis and recommending new initiatives
- Liaise with and drive action with department managers to root cause analysis and preventative measures and advising staff on how to minimise the level of risk in the workplace.
- Training employees to help them manage, monitor, and improve general health and safety standards.
- H&S cost management relating to internal, external, and outside processing relationships and activities.
- Managing emergency procedures and emergency teams such as first aiders.
- Developing new health and safety programs and strategies.
**Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required**:
- NEBOSH General certificate or above.
- Experience working in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Previous auditing experience in a HSE role.
**The Package**:
- £35,000 - £42,000 per annum depending on experience (open to all levels).
- Day shift, Monday - Friday based position.
- Bonus potential
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays.
