Birmingham, United Kingdom Compass Full time

**About The Role**:
Are you a Mental Health professional working with children and young people (CYP) who is passionate about empowering others to achieve their full potential?

Are you ready to be part of the new Mental Health Support Teams initiative that will transform early intervention in CYP mental health services?

Are you looking to learn and develop new skills in CBT informed supervision?

If you’ve answered ‘yes’, you might be just who we are looking for...

We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our new Birmingham Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) based in the Great Barr community. Designed to ensure CYP access the right help, at the right time, in the right setting. The MHST teams will remove duplication and avoid CYP/families being ‘bounced’ in-between services.

Compass have a successful track record in early intervention health and wellbeing services for children and young people. We use a wide range of creative and dynamic methods of engagement, including digital interventions, across community and educational settings.

Adopting a values-based approach is at the heart of what we do; through collaboration and co-production with stakeholders our services continually evolve, directing resources based on evidenced need. We are incredibly excited and proud to be part of the MHST initiative in being able to develop innovative methods to make a real difference to the lives of young people in Birmingham.

**About You**:
You will have at least 1 years’ post qualification experience working therapeutically within a CYP mental health setting. In the role of Trainee Supervising Practitioner, you would be delivering training, evidenced based interventions and consultation to children, young people, families and educational staff.

You will also be supported by the service to learn and develop new skills in delivering CBT informed supervision. Once you have reached the required minimum competencies defined by HEE you will be required to undertake a PG Certificate in Clinical Supervision. On acceptance on to the training programme the post holder will progress to Band F which currently attracts a salary range of £35,665 - £43,603

You will also be willing to undertake further training as required by the service.

**About Us**:
