**The Role**

Our Support Service Administrators provide a range of administrative support, support services and quality checking to support the operational work of the DSU effectively and efficiently within the Crime department across the Force.

You will manage your own workload and assist other SSA’s from other DSU’s through clear communication and prioritise threat, harm, and risk intelligence on daily basis.

**What will I be doing?**

Undertake data input in relation to received intelligence from across the Force. Ensuring all intelligence is entered in a timely and accurate fashion onto the several and varied appropriate computerised systems to meet deadlines.

Manage and create Excel spreadsheets and mailboxes utilised by the DSU Force wide. Ensuring a corporate approach across the Force.

Quality check and verify every piece of intelligence, clarify errors and anomalies to ensure accuracy.

Prepare management information and statistics by interpreting data and data collation for the purposes of performance meetings, planned meetings and bespoke briefings.

Operate PNC and Force computer systems, undertaking research to identify people, vehicles, locations, crimes, highlight crime patterns and trends. To assist handlers who are deployed to reduce risk.

**What do I need?**
- Excellent IT skills especially in relation to Excel & IS. Due to the covert nature of the role experience and knowledge can only be gained once in post.
- Ability to plan and organise workloads and prioritise threat, harm, and risk intelligence.
- Ability to problem solve around inaccurate intelligence
