**The role**

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Business Services Department as a Logistics Administrator.

You will provide a range of administrative and support services to effectively and efficiently support the operational logistics team objectives of providing Northumbria Police with a single hub mail facility for PPE and logistics services, which can respond to changing working methods and adopt new ways of service delivery. You will provide a professional service for other departments including Forensic Services & Digital Policing.

**What you’ll do**
- To efficiently support the work of the Logistics team Leader in the planning of routes, demand level feedback in order to deliver a modern logistics service that can flex with changes in operational demand.
- Maintain computerised and paper-based records, undertaking support and clerical functions required to internal customers.
- Open and sort all incoming postal and electronic mail via the relevant mailboxes, redirecting as appropriate, ensuring that all correspondence is dealt with promptly and efficiently.

**What you’ll bring**
- Ability to use Microsoft word and excel at a basic level.
- Route planning and organisational skills to deliver an efficient Logistics service.
- The ability to trouble shoot and problem solve issues at short notice
- Work as part of a team and support the PPE / mail routes and well-being programmes.
