Are you a dedicated Nurse, looking to make a difference to the lives of Adults with severe mental illness?

We're looking for a compassionate individual to join our recovery team which is part of the Oxford City Adult Mental Health Team.

The recovery team work with adults with severe and enduring mental illness who are currently in supported accommodation on the Littlemore hospital site.

You will need to be able to work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support. You will have experience of care processes and able to assess and plan treatment with service users. You will also be able to assess and manage risk, including use of Safeguarding processes.

There are opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions. The wider MDT consists of medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs and support workers, as well as embedded workers from the third sector to support with employment, housing and social needs. In addition we are currently embedding Peer Support Workers within the teams to promote the power of lived experience and ensure that the gap between patient and clinician is bridged.

This role is open to registered mental health nurses who have extensive experience of working in adult mental health services and understand the challenges that this care group can bring.

You will be expected to deliver and maintain high quality and meaningful care for our patients. You will need to be a highly motivated practitioner who has experience of mental health services and can demonstrate the ability to initiate and manage your work effectively.

The team is highly supportive and committed to delivering high quality patient care; where the caseload can be demanding, diverse and frequently complex.

You will be supported by an experienced leadership team from across the professions who facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists and hold your development as central. We offer regular supervision and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake any training relevant to your professional development.

The recovery Team in part of of the The City and Northeast Oxon Adult Mental Health Team's who's main base is at the Warneford Hospital, a stones throw from the centre of Oxford and the dreamy spires. We provide care for the residents of Oxford, the local towns of Kidlington, Bicester and Woodstock, and the surrounding villages. The team is split into three Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) teams; Willow, Oak, and Aspen, which are aligned to local Primary Care Network patches.

They operate Monday to Friday 9 am - 5pm. The team consist of a Consultant Psychiatrist, a Team Lead (SW), 2 RMNs, a support worker and an OT who all work with a 3rd sector supported housing provide Response and their support workers.
