Overview:
**Purpose of role**:
It’s often overwhelming for the people we support to make changes in their lives, as a recovery coach volunteer on the opiate team you will be using your own experiences of recovery to help others and demonstrate change is possible.

You will be provided with all the skills, training and support you will need to undertake the role.

**Responsibilities**:
**Key Activities**:

- Work with individuals on a one-to-one basis.
- Taking a focused approach to the people you are supporting, helping them to increase their confidence, and empowering them to achieve their goals.
- Gain an understanding of what support is available in your local community.
- Support service users to attend meetings/groups/appointments.
- Keep us updated by providing verbal and written feedback.
- Help service users to engage in recovery activities both within Change Grow Live and the wider community.
- Promote and support service user involvement.
