**Your Role**

Working as an Officer in the General Counsel team (GCT), you’ll provide expert advice and resolution to any queries to the business, ensuring that we are able to meet our regulatory and legal obligations. You’ll actively support the management team in their communications with senior employees of the business, and provide support by providing advice, reports and regulatory guidance to those individuals as and where required.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Conducting conflict checks on new and existing client matters for the business
- Researching and analysing matters in line with the SRA conflicts of interests and confidentiality and disclosure rules
- Assessing and reviewing matters in line with the firm’s conflicts of interests and commercial conflicts policies and internal processes and procedures
- Assessing matters from a commercial and reputational perspective and escalate to a senior team member where required
- Providing practical advice and solutions where risks are identified
- Meeting your own personal own KPIs and also works as part of a team to ensure GCT meets its KPIs.
- Assisting with training to fee earners and new joiners in GCT.
- Supporting Analysts with straightforward queries.

**What We're Looking For**
- A background working within in a Compliance or in-house legal function.
- Experience of working in a pressurised environment and to tight schedules
- Ability to present and report to senior managers, both in writing and face to face
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent time management and organisation, and ability to work under pressure.
