The post holder will be an experienced qualified professional able to support and advise on the assessment and treatment of the mental health of young people up to the age of 18 with neurodiversity (either suspected, diagnosed or identified as having) presenting with a mental health crisis within Norfolk and Waveney. Working within their own professional boundaries, they will provide specialist care for presenting service users from initial clinical assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation of care. The post holder will be able to demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process and support with both risk assessment and safety planning taking into context the young persons neurodiversity and individual needs. They will work with both the medical and wider multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of the service user and provide specialist clinical leadership as appropriate.

To utilise research and training skills and knowledge for audit, policy and service development, research activity and other programmes within the service. To remain up to date with relevant guidelines, policies and recommendations in relation to supporting individuals presenting with Neurodiversity and to share this knowledge with the wider service.
