The job
- Take responsibility as part of the education team for providing professional education, learning and development to a wide range of learners.
- To plan, prepare and deliver each programme in an engaging, informative and innovative way as well as meeting the awarding and regulatory bodies’ requirements.
- Be responsible for managing the learners needs including pastoral support, through regular contact and appropriate feedback, marking work/assignments.
- Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment across our centres.
- Maintain a high-level working knowledge of the Awarding Organisation requirements for the qualifications we deliver, as well as familiarity with the Knowledge, Skills and Framework for the apprenticeships delivered at CIPHER Medical.
- Maintain professional registration with appropriate CPD activities.

Main responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with any company or department policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Responsible for mentoring/training/assessing/educating/supervising a wide variety of learners on education and/or development courses.
- Identify training and development solutions across the company that address national and local priorities that will promote and share evidence based and best practice.
- Produce written reports for internal and external meetings/publications on a range of issues including learner progress and compliance.
- Co-ordinate and assist with the company’s response to external inspections, moderations, and accreditation visits (including the preparation of reports/action plans and subsequent progress reports).
- Ensure the serviceability and security of the company’s equipment and vehicles and that training venues are monitored to ensure safe learning environment for all.
- Prioritise and self-manage the training workload to support the company in delivering its core business.
- Monitor and evaluate the delivery of course programmes to ensure that the quality of instruction, content and teaching materials exceed the minimum standards as required by the awarding and validating bodies.
- Prepare and manage various summative and formative assessments whilst maintaining examination security.

Experience

Essential
- HCPC registered Paramedic with at least 2 years post registration practice with current occupational competence.
- Excellent team working skills/experience.
- Demonstrates a passion for learning with a commitment to quality.
- Education/delivery experience

Desirable
- Other areas of pre-hospital experience (remote, primary health etc)

Skills and Abilities

Essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication with an ability to work to quality standards with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to take personal responsibility and have confidence to make difficult or challenging decisions.
- Able to communicate to a wide variety of audiences and adapt various styles to get the best out of the group.
- Able to work under pressure to meet KPI’s and targets.

Knowledge

Essential
- Good awareness and understanding of local/national prevent and safeguarding processes to support learners.
- Keep abreast of local and national clinical practice to contribute to the improvement and review of the qualifications we deliver.
- Good working knowledge of the HCPC Standards of Education and Standards of Proficiency.
- Good working knowledge of quality assurance standards and frameworks adopted by the company.

Education

Essential
- HCPC registered Paramedic
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, P.G.C.E, IQ, L4 EAT or equivalent) or willing to working towards
- Level 3 CAVA qualification or willing to work towards

Desirable
- ALS/ITLS/PHPLS/MIM
