Product Owner

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join our career driven and tenacious team. This role provides the opportunity to put Personal Lines strategy into action, driving the profitable growth of the business. It will provide exposure to senior level stakeholders, both internally and external to Aviva.

We think it’s a great time to join us as you will be the Product Owner for the Winning in Personal Lines Continuous Improvement workstream, where we drive forward key deliveries that refine our underwriting footprint, improve our pricing models and optimise our products across Personal Lines in order to achieve our ambitious growth target

A bit about the job:
You will be the business lead for a feature team using agile methodology to effectively deliver the roadmap activities, working across multiple teams and areas. You will be responsible as decision maker for the project, owning scope and ensuring prioritisation in line with business requirements while working with the project manager to track costs, benefits and timelines accordingly. You will drive positive customer outcomes and accurate implementation of initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulation and robust testing and controls are in place. You will ensure stakeholders are fully informed of backlog, prioritisation and progress. You will have a key role in coaching and developing people as they support you within your role.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

- Knowledge of pricing and underwriting IT architecture, software and surrounding systems
- Understanding of change methodology, especially agile
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain incredibly complex concepts to a senior and multifaceted audience
- Good understanding of UK general insurance market

- Starting salary between £42,000 and £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
