It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas We have a number of Extra care services for older people in Tower Hamlets, Tameside, Cumbria and Leeds who are looking for helpers for their Christmas time activities. Your duties as a Volunteer helper will be varied and could include writing Christmas cards, wrapping presents, helping at Christmas parties and Christmas craft activities.

Helping at parties will include setting up the room, moving tables and chairs where necessary. Making and handing out refreshments, setting up party games, playing music, and spreading general Christmas cheer.

If you are helping at a Christmas craft activity you will prepare the materials, promote the activity to residents, make refreshments, help our residents with the crafts where needed, and tidy away at the end of the session.

Christmas jumpers welcomed

Volunteer Duties:

- Attend and prepare for our Christmas events
- Promote events to our residents
- Spread Christmas cheer
- Help with decorating the service
- Make and hand out refreshments
- Set up party games

As a volunteer with Creative Support we offer training for your role, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly Volunteer newsletter, and an online volunteer’s peer support group. Together we can make a difference.
