Responsibilities:

- Prepare weekly management accounts, understanding variances and adding valued commentary.
- Present weekly management accounts to the senior leadership team, driving company performance.
- Collaborate with Management Accountant on periodic reporting to ensure accuracy of weekly reporting.
- Prepare periodic board presentations on financial performance.
- Work closely with the commercial team to drive product/customer performance, analysing to improve.
- Provide recommendations on commercial growth opportunities such as pricing, promotional activity etc.
- Financial ownership of the product costing process, including NPD and tenders.
- Play an integral part of a S&OP process, supporting the wider business and business insight and profitability.
- Monitor overhead spend against budget/forecast and report variances to budget holders.
- Analyse and report on capex projects, in terms of; spend, payback and other measures.
- Support with the preparation annual budgets/quarterly forecasts.
- Support Accounts Assistant and Finance Trainee.
- Provide holiday cover to Management Accountant.
- Continuous improvement of internal controls and financial reporting within the business.
- Support with ad hoc projects.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain financial information to non-finance personnel
- Excellent Excel skills
- FBP experience
- FMCG background
- Commercial awareness
- Analytical and logical problem solving abilities
- Attention to detail
