**Accounting Specialist**

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist for our office in Oxfordshire, to provide effective and professional accounting support to multiple NSF locations. If you are a pro-active, forward thinking individual who is part qualified or recently qualified accountant we would love to hear from you

**What you will be doing**:

- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, research errors and work with appropriate departments and members of management to identify and improve/correct process or accounts that may have repetitive problems
- Complete journal entries and other month-end duties as outlined on the close list or as requested
- Perform transaction analysis and/or trouble-shooting to provide information to management as requested
- Identify and recommend process improvement initiatives for department
- Work collaboratively with international offices to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist with preparation of VAT returns, corporation tax returns and year end statutory accounts
- Part or fully qualified accountant preferred (ACCA, ACA, ICAEW), but AAT level 4 also considered
- Previous experience in a finance role
- A good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (FRS 102)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Oracle Financials (preferred)
- Experience with foreign entities (preferred)
