**HOME BASED - 3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT**
We are working with an organisation that supports young carers who are looking to recruit a passionate and dynamic Young Carer Practitioner to join their team.
- The Young Carer Practitioner role includes the following responsibilities:

- Conduct assessments and develop support plans for young carers
- Deliver one-to-one emotional support and practical advice to young carers
- Facilitate peer support groups and organize activities for young carers
- Liaise with schools and other relevant agencies to identify and support young carers
- Provide information, advice and signposting to young carers and their families
Whilst it isn't vital that this Young Carer Practitioner has worked in that role before, they will need to have some of the following experiences:

- Experience of working with young people, ideally in a support, education or youth work setting
- Knowledge of issues affecting young carers and their families
- Ability to provide emotional support and practical advice to young people
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
On offer is a basic salary of £21,500 per annum (so you would be paid this on a pro rata basis for duration of your contract.

You would be working for a non-profit organization that supports young carers, aged between 8-25 years, who care for a family member or friend with an illness or disability. Their mission is to empower young carers, improve their wellbeing and ensure they haveequal opportunities to achieve their potential.
