- £12.40 - 13.00 depending on qualifications, inclusive of sleep-in allowance (approx. £3,400.00 pa). 8 - 39.5 hrs a week**

Working together with our collaborative partners DGF Psychology, and social care professionals, we aim to provide a nurturing and caring environment and provide support to vulnerable children/young people and their families to achieve positive and agreed outcomes, as directed by their care plan.
In this rewarding role you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of care and support for young people. You will be part of the residential staff team and assist young people to develop skills and have fun throughout the day. This role will require you to supervise young people and make recordings, support them to attend education and appointments as well as writing reports and attending meetings. You will also be required to carry out domestic duties within the home.
DGF Psychology support the team by:
Facilitating Specialised Training
Implementation and oversight of Therapeutic Behaviour Support and Placement Plans
Implementation and oversight of Behavioural Monitoring Tools
Measurement of positive outcomes
1:1 Key Worker Support
Key Worker Session Plans and Evaluation
Facilitating Monthly Psychology Meetings
We understand that care work is demanding and have designed our shift pattern to offer staff generous rest periods between shifts. Shift working also allows our teams to know their shifts up to six months in advance.
**The Role**:
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children/young people in the company’s care and ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent with all standards, regulations, and legislation.
- Provide a responsive and high-quality service to users, their families and our partners based on an assessment of need, which is regularly reviewed, and is outcome driven.
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with children and young people and their families and where necessary, to encourage and promote involvement to achieve positive outcomes.
- To work with firm and consistent boundaries to create a safe environment for children/young people and the staff team.
- Have the ability and skills needed to engage young people in social activities using local and other resources.
**Requirements**:
- You will need to be flexible with working hours, including days, evenings, weekends, sleeping in shifts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to accept direction.
- Flexible in approach to your role.
- If not already qualified, a willingness to undertake QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People
- Full UK manual driving licence - for driving the homes vehicles.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Self-motivated and a positive nature
- Positive attitude to training and personal development.
- To put therapeutic theory into practice.

This position also requires an enhanced DBS background check along with other relevant employment checks. All applicants must be over 21 years old and have a full manual driver's licence to meet legislative and work requirements.
