Euro-Gas is a small busy family-run Company working in Gas Detection and Environmental Safety with a worldwide market and now in our 35th year. We are looking for a mature, keen, committed and highly accurate person, with proven administration and accounts experience, to join our hard-working team in Churston Ferrers, Devon (between Brixham and Paignton).

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Are you conscientious, motivated and eager to add to your existing skills set and professionally promote our technical products? Along with excellent computer skills, this position calls for exceptional standards of written English and Maths. Accuracy and numeracy, together with common sense, initiative and the ability to prioritise your workload, whilst efficiently multi-tasking are crucial elements within the challenge of this position.

Whilst your main focus will be order processing, technical sales support and general accounts, this role encompasses all business aspects including customer and supplier communication, despatch of orders, sales and marketing. You'll gain on-the-job product training whilst working closely within the team. In this office-based full-time role, you will have the opportunity to harness and expand your particular strengths and skills.

**ARE YOU...**
- highly accurate, numerate and educated to at least A-Level or Degree Standard? You will have solid, proven experience in administration and basic accounts with the confidence to communicate with customers and suppliers to a high level.
- highly motivated and 100% committed for the long-term to learning and promoting our technical Gas Detection products? Scientific understanding or knowledge would support you in this role (such as through GCSEs, A Levels, other qualifications and/or experience).
- adept with a highly professional approach, attention to detail, common sense, excellent written and proven computer skills and telephone manner, all of which are crucial elements within this position?
- able to efficiently multi-task in a role that incorporates co-ordinating order despatch, customer support, technical sales and marketing, order processing, accounting and all general administrative duties? Are you also energetic and willing to pack and unpack orders and attend to carriers bringing goods in/out on a daily and weekly basis?
- capable of working independently on your own initiative, as a key member of a small team, as well as having the ability to adeptly carry out all aspects of a Company, with a worldwide customer base where you will have the opportunity to play a crucial part in its success?

**WHAT WILL THE JOB INVOLVE?**

**Administration**:

- Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, website and graphics software.
- Co-ordinating and booking worldwide despatch of consignments with carriers, managing despatch paperwork, customer notifications and dealing with goods in/out.
- Maintaining and updating filing systems and records.

**Sales and Marketing**:

- Office-based customer technical sales support with global clients, dealing with order processing, sales enquiries, quotations and technical assistance.
- Sales and purchasing administration.
- Sales lead follow up and administration/maintenance of client/lead databases.
- Assist with marketing: updating technical datasheets; updating website; advertising; graphics; creating promotional material.

**Accountancy Administration**:

- Sage 50 accounting software, including sales invoicing and credit control.
- Manual book-keeping and general accounting duties.

**MORE INFORMATION**:

- A solid and genuine long-term commitment to learning technical Gas Detection products is essential. A scientific understanding is a considerable asset in this position.
- Euro-Gas has the advantage of a worldwide market. Although knowledge of additional languages is not essential for the role, if you enjoy languages, you will be able to put them to good use.
- Please note that Euro-Gas has a non-smoking policy.
- Driving Licence and own transport essential.
- This is a full-time and office-based position.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
