Job Title: Assistant Accountant

**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location: Harpenden
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Fully time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm

COMPANY PROFILE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for our client who have grown to become a specialised leader within the construction industry. They are looking for a proactive Assistant Accountant to support the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Sage experience is desirable
- Good IT skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Financial data analysis and reporting
- Carry out daily reconciliations
- Assist with end of year audit
- Submissions of HMRC surveys and national statistics reports
- Maintain accurate bank records
- Ad hoc duties as necessary to support the Financial Controller
