**The purpose of the role is to**:

- Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

Canolfan Goffa Ffestiniog operates an Admin & Clerical Bank, which plays an important role in providing temporary administration and reception support to the clinical services across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board on a flexible approach to work, on ad hoc basis.

We are looking for colleagues with various levels of admin and reception experience who have with good interpersonal and organisational skills and who will be able to work well within our existing teams to cover short term, long term and ad hoc vacancies.

You will need to have a flexible approach to work, be reliable, adaptable and have good organisational skills. A pleasant telephone manner and good communication skills are essential. You will also be computer literate with experience of Word and Excel, be a team player and able to maintain confidentiality.

There will be a range of opportunities based on your skills and our requirements; however some of the duties covered by bank staff include reception work, updating the Patient GP Medical System (EMIS), booking appointments, folding letters, inputting data, typing, filing, photocopying and answering telephones.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.
