**1. Purpose of the Role**
1.1 Working with Project teams to ensure the highest standards of health & safety are met on Project sites. Provide appropriate information, support, assurance and challenge to Project teams to help achieve our clients requirements and drive continual improvement.

**3. Role Accountabilities**

**3.1. Assist the Project team with development of plans and process to support delivery of work.**

**3.2. Assist in the development of site inductions for defined work sites.**

**3.3. Assist in development and maintenance of our clients H&S systems**

**3.4. Suggest methods and aids to promote awareness of injury prevention initiatives.**

**3.5. Carry out inspections and audits in conjunction with appropriate management to ensure Company Client and levitative requirements are being met. Where appropriate make recommendations for improvement**
3.6. Assist with the implementation of the clients Construction behavioural based safety programme.
- 3.7. Assist the Project teams with investigation of close call, near miss and other incidents on Project sites
- 3.8. Assist the Project teams by identifying training needs
- 3.9. Assist the Project teams in collating information for monthly reporting to the Client and to the Construction head office
- 3.10. Be honest in discharging your duties as a health and safety professional
- 3.11. Avoid conflicts of interest whenever possible and if one arises promptly take appropriate steps to manage it
- **3.12. Ensure you are competent to undertake proposed work. Competence is a combination of knowledge, skills, experience and recognition of the limits of your capabilities. Knowledge can be gained or developed by studying for qualifications, but a qualification, by itself, is not evidence of competence. It must be enhanced by skills and knowledge that you develop through experience. Undertake appropriate continuing professional development and record it in the manner prescribed by IOSH**
3.1.3 Cooperate fully with IOSH and abide by its Charter, Byelaws and Regulations
