Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well established family owned business who supply to the construction and trade industry in Hereford.

As Purchasing Assistant, you will join a small team of 3 with the day to day running of the purchasing within the company, ensuring all systems are maintained, you will have strong involvement in the following duties:
Placing purchase orders, following up with suppliers on delivery dates and communicating to the sales team
Identifying new potential suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships
Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant departments
Collating delivery information and inputting onto system
Assisting the team with forecasting levels of demand for services and products, along with maintaining stock levels
Other ad hoc duties required
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
Experience from a purchasing environment (Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Coordinator, Purchasing Administrator), or potentially someone with transferable skills and experience with the desire to develop within a purchasing role
A confident and well organised individual
Good IT skills - MS Office, and any ERP or stock management system will be highly beneficial
Own transport - essential
