Are you an experienced Planning Manager looking for a new opportunity?
We’re looking for a Planning Manager to join us at our site in Thorncliffe which we operate for our customer, M&S. You’ll be responsible for the short, and long-term planning of staff, resources, and recruitment, playing a major role in our future success.
This role is predominantly Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week, however we do ask for a level of flexibility from time to time due to the nature of the business - but we’ll ensure you know well in advance

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll also have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle towork scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
**What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- You’ll track variances in planned volumes versus budget & forecasts analysing data providing information to the Ops and Finance team for budgeting purposes
- Identify and track key variables impacting KPI’s and budgets
- Track and highlight changes in the latest plans versus budget, project trends and planning contingency
- Plan staffing requirements ad-hoc, short
- and long-term, modelling staffing requirements as volumes change
- Review and implement rota profiles to ensure staffing matches volumes
**What you need to succeed at GXO**:
- You’ll need to understand KPI management and have WMS knowledge
- Previous planning or modelling experience, with exposure to budgets is essential
- Experience in a logistics environment - an Ecommerce background would be ideal, but not essential
- Can turn numbers and trends into visuals to assist with key reports and presenting to senior colleagues and customers
- Experience communicating directly with customers and stakeholders is highly desirable
