**Brighton College** is seeking to appoint a**Sports Administrator**to start in mid-August 2023. This role will provide secretarial and administrative support to The Sports Department and Sports Facilities team. You will join us on a full time, term-time, (plus an additional four weeks) permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of **£21,000 - £23,000 per annum.**

**Key responsibilities as a Sports Administrator: **
- Providing day-to-day administrative assistance and to be the main point of administrative support for the department. Coordinating the various sports services including facilities, transport, and catering bookings, for lessons, fixtures, and trips. Ensuring coaches fulfil their safeguarding obligations in order to keep their employment checks valid and current. Setting up systems and spreadsheets to help with the monitoring and recording of information within the department. Creating and maintaining accurate pupil lists for sport. Liaising with the appropriate trip leader to support any sport related trips. Administration of all sports communications through specific platforms.
- Creating and organising pupil registers to be used by the sports department and pastoral teams. Support with the collation and tracking of sporting budgets. Supporting in protocols surrounding the school welfare programme. Taking of minutes in various sport and facilities related meetings. Other duties as required in support of the Sports Department and the College.
**Safeguarding responsibilities**:

- This role will involve daily contact with pupils, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All staff and volunteers have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
**What we are looking for in our Sports Administrator**:

- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is essential. Demonstrable administrative experience. Exceptional organisation skills, with the ability to effectively manage your own workload and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. A friendly and personable manner, with the ability to build strong working relationships across the College. The ability to show initiative and be proactive. A flexible and ‘can-do’ attitude. Strong attention to detail.

**Hours of work: **
- 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday inclusive (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break), working term-time (35 weeks), plus an additional four weeks.

- 20 days pro rata, in addition to bank holidays. Annual leave should be taken during the school holidays.
