Merton, United Kingdom South Thames Colleges Group Full time

**Permanent, Part Time (18 hours per week)**

**Term Time Only (40 weeks per year)**

The Health and Care Partnership in South West London are committed to championing the emotional wellbeing of children and young people over the next three years. We have agreed to deliver our emotional wellbeing programme using a whole college approach and have identified partners who can support this implementation.

South Thames Colleges Group is the cluster lead for FE in South West London and is working with Croydon College and Richmond-upon-Thames College to deliver the Trailblazer. The cluster lead model involves colleges working with the Health and Care Partnership to ensure that the College Principal who takes up the cluster lead role, supports the development and implementation of the whole college approach by providing appropriate management and leadership support.

As Mental Health Project Administrator (known internally as Mental Health Trailblazer Coordinator), you will support the cluster lead to work closely with the programme office team to implement the whole college approach. The cluster lead will provide leadership in the cluster ensuring the whole college approach is being implemented and use the Coordinator role to organise the project and ensure it’s success. You will support the cluster lead to develop a cluster action plan to ensure appropriate interventions will be delivered and to ensure the emotional wellbeing of children and young people is promoted. You will help to develop and implement communication plans between the programme office and the colleges in the cluster and support the cluster lead to host and chair cluster meetings twice a term. You will create an agenda with the cluster lead, that meets the requirements of implementing the whole college approach and trailblazers, convene the meetings and record and distribute the minutes of the meetings.

We’re looking for someone who has experience of organising meetings, diaries, documents, and other administrative requirements and who has a proven success of communicating with others to support effective partnership working. Able to handle highly confidential information, you will have experience of successful preparation in educational project work and demonstrate knowledge of the FE sector and its student body. You will understand the issues affecting the mental health of young people and the interventions and approaches used to address these.

The benefits package includes generous annual leave. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme_._

The South Thames Colleges Group is made up of Carshalton College, Kingston College, Merton College and South Thames College, which merged on 1 August 2017. South Thames Colleges Group is one of London’s largest providers of post-16 education and training and is an ongoing and significant contributor to its local communities. We aim to put students’ success at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for hard-working and collaborative people who can join our team and help challenge our students to achieve and progress.
