Assistant Psychologist

The post holder will support the clinical team to operate effectively and efficiently in their work within the DBT Service. They will be responsible for providing a proactive, comprehensive, administrative and secretarial service to the DBT Team, as well as taking on specific clinical and research support duties. This might include involvement in diagnostic assessments and draft preparation of clinical reports, data collection (qualitative and quantitative), preparation of databases and analysis of service development, audit, research and promotion of service user involvement. The post holder will be mainly involved with service user assessment and research activity as well as having a clinical role in observing and supporting clinical activity.
They will be a key point of contact for young people, families and carers, as well as other members of the young persons network. The post holder will manage and oversee the administrative components of the Trust patient electronic recording system i.e. inputting referral information, funding contracts and patient details, monitoring and updating operational data quality etc. The post holder will also assist in various other clinical and research-related tasks.
