Libraries Team Leader

- a strong leader, able to manage and motivate a team of staff based across several branch libraries?
- good at problem solving, in relation to the deployment of staff and management of premises?
- an excellent communicator and co-ordinator?
- confident to deal with administrative tasks and online systems?
- keen to develop and promote library services and activities in line with corporate objectives?
- determined to meet performance targets, by contributing to the business planning and evaluation process?

You will lead a team to ensure the delivery of high quality library and information services from our venues
Your role will be to support the delivery of activities, events and learning opportunities relevant to each local community, developing partnership working where appropriate.
You will:
- demonstrate strong leadership skills
- deploy staff efficiently across a group of branch libraries
- possess excellent communication and digital skills
- be aware of premises management responsibilities
- be able to work with a range of partners and volunteers
- support the delivery of a customer focused service
This is a permanent post. You will have an agreed base within the Chorley district, although regular travel to other libraries in the group will be necessary as part of the role. The hours are 37 per week, worked Monday to Friday, with some element of flexibility.
