As the Finance and Payroll Assistant, you will be working a 22.5 hour week over flexible days.

- Completing month-end and year-end financials
- Logging purchase orders and invoices
- Preparing, processing and maintaining monthly payroll
- Making sure files are organised and filed
- Experienced in using QuickBooks and SAGE software
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships
- Experienced in Financial or Bookkeeping

**Payroll Assistant**

The Recruitment Group is a national leader in the provision of payroll services to the film and television industry, offering a full range of payroll, benefits, and administration services. We are currently hiring for a Payroll Assistant to join our team in Oxford.

**Position Summary**:
As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the processing of payroll for hourly employees. This includes entering employee time and labor rates into the system, processing hours into the system, reconciling hours with hours worked, and ensuring all payroll information is complete and accurate. You will also assist with the reconciliation of benefits with employee contributions, reconciling 401(k) plan information with employee pension plan information, and assisting with other payroll related tasks. You will work closely with other team members and support managers in order to ensure company goals are met.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong problem solving skills
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Bilingual in English Spanish required (but not required)
- Minimum 1 year experience working in an office setting (such as a small business or small organization) as a payroll assistant, accounts payable clerk, or other payroll related position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process all hourly employees’ time into time value of labor (Time Value of Money) using manual or automated processes according to established procedures.
- Enter time values for each job into the system using manual or automated processes according to established procedures.

- Run reports on time values to check accuracy of time values entered by others.
- Run reports on hourly paychecks on both hourly employees and hourly team members.
- Run reports on overtime paychecks on both hourly employees and hourly team members.
- Process employee pension contributions as they come in for their 401(k) checks.
- Process employee 401(k) plan changes by making changes to 401(k) records, entering new contributions, updating old contributions records, making distribution changes, distributing checks as needed, and mailing checks as needed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: £13.33-£15.38 per hour
