This is a first for the Early Years Sector.

You will join us as a **Nursery Practitioner to provide learning support **at our **West Downs Day Nursery in Winchester**. Your role will involve working closely with, and under the direction of, the setting’s SENDCO, and will include:

- working directly with a 3 year old child who attends the nursery, to support their speech and language, their knowledge and understanding of the world around them (including rules and boundaries to keep them safe) and their social engagement and interaction with others
- working with a wider group of children to cover their key person’s responsibilities, which will provide the key person with the opportunity to work with specific children on a one-one basis.

This role is part-time and you will work 22 hours a week, all-year-round. Your working days will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will work 08:30am-17:00pm on two days, and 08:30am-16:30pm on the third day.

We are seeking a very special person to join us in this supporting role. Someone who:

- Is naturally nurturing, caring and compassionate to others.
- Has some experience of caring for children under five who live with SEND, and ideally your experience will be from within a nursery environment.
- Can be a positive role model to the children in their care, effectively meeting individual children’s developmental and care needs.
- Enjoys contributing within a busy, team environment.

We are offering an hourly pay rate of:

- £12.60-£13.21 if you’re qualified to level 6 or above.
- £12.10-£13.21 if you’re qualified to level 3, 4 or 5.
- £11.00 if you’re qualified to level 2.
- £10.90 if you’re not early years qualified.
