Hales Group are seeking a Works Planner to maintain the effectiveness of IT systems supporting the property operations service. The post holder will provide guidance to stakeholders in relation to scheduling, monitoring and collation of data on repairs andvoids maintenance works whilst continuously monitoring and reviewing performance delivery, making real time adjustments to work diaries to maximise the use of available resources, prioritising direct employed resources.

Principle Responsibilities - Works Planner;
- Manage and co-ordinate the diaries of operatives so that workloads can be scheduled, adjusted and managed within the computerised diary system and associated telephony, to maximise efficiency of the service. Deal with property operations related work issuesas they arise, such as unplanned operative absences, complications in the work, and manage any necessary changes to appointments in communication with stakeholders directly to agree any changes.
- Establish and maintain effective, timely and on-going communications with operatives to monitor the progress of work, and take appropriate action with regard to appointment schedules to satisfy stakeholder requirements, whilst managing necessary variationsto schedules and appointments which arise due to unforeseen circumstances, emergent repair complications etc.
- Ensure daily collation of data across all areas for the services provided by operations team is undertaken and assist the Lead Planner in assessing this data to maximise productivity.
- Assist the Lead Planner with the daily monitoring of the supply chain's activities to ensure service standards are maintained, reporting potential deviations from performance to same; preparing appropriate reports for action.
- Continuously monitor and review performance delivery and make real time adjustments to work diaries to maximize the use of available resources, prioritizing direct employed resources.
- Appropriate Customer Service qualification e.g. Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner (or be prepared to obtain).
- Demonstrable knowledge of the risks and hazards associated with asbestos and working with asbestos containing materials (ACMs).
- Demonstrable knowledge of housing repairs and diagnostics/technical knowledge awareness.
- Knowledge of utilisation of National Housing Schedule of Rates
- Good knowledge of landlord's repairing, consultative and disrepair obligations including Right to Repair, Leaseholder and Disrepair regulations.
- Experience of using IT systems, including works management and resource scheduling software.
- Previous experience of dealing with customers, preferably within a social housing environment.

HOURS: 37 hours Monday to Friday

DURATION: Permanent (after initial temporary period)

LOCATION: Saffron Walden

PAY RATE: Variable depending on experience
