Active 8 has operated in the heart of Liverpool for almost two decades. We empower Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) who’ve survived and fled war, violence and persecution to secure protection in the UK. Our holistic approach to supporting young people is achieved through complex casework management, providing accommodation and floating support alongside our partners across various sectors such as local government, health and social care, and education. Our mission is to ensure our young people continue to live with the support, safety and dignity as they transition and build their lives in the UK.

We are looking for compassionate, energetic AND reliable team-players who have experience of supporting vulnerable people.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
The post holder is responsible for managing their own caseload to build and maintain positive, appropriate working relationships with the young people we support.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring regular and effective communication with Active 8’s team members, senior practitioners and external working partnerships as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to the development of support for the young person

The post holder will prepare for and attend young person’s Statutory and non-statutory meetings and act as ‘Responsible Adult’ advocating for Young Persons needs.

The post holder will conduct weekly home visits to ensure accommodation meets the safeguarding and quality requirements.

The post holder will liaise and develop strong links with various local support and wellbeing services and explore new sources of useful support.

The post holder will record complete and accurate case notes and regularly update a database of information held on UASC adhering to codes and guidelines of safeguarding and confidentiality.

The post is Mon-Fri 9-5pm work with some required flexibility.

MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE WITH ACCESS TO CAR FOR WORK.

Speakers of more than one language welcomed.

Full training and support is given.

Enhanced DBS checks will be required and funded by Active 8. If you have an existing, updateable & transferrable DBS this will be accepted.
