Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

- Overseeing the resourcing process in the team, by handling the interviews and hiring for new staff and ensuring training is provided during the onboarding process
- Managing the daily workflow of the department, providing timely performance evaluations, and reviewing work and projects undertaken to ensure technical accuracy
- Leading and coordinating the various engineering functions and operations including testing, production, and research & development of new and existing product lines
- Communicating with both clients and engineers, to gain an understanding of specifications, budgets, and deadlines and ensuring these are clearly communicated to parties
- Serving as project manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organising meetings, and ensuring projects meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Maintaining knowledge of new trends, technologies, materials, and best practices in order to use this understanding to underpin all work undertaken
What you will need to Apply:
In order to be successful within this position, you will need to possess outstanding communication abilities to confidently liaise with both the clients and also the internal teams, to properly manage the projects and ensure they meet expectations by both partiesinvolved. You will additionally need a strong understanding of engineering theory and design criteria and good relevant experience within a similar engineering role, for at least a few years. It is required that you will possess at least a engineering bachelor'sdegree, and it would be desirable to additionally hold a relevant masters degree and have good knowledge of machine shop and welding processes, as well as being proficient with CAD software.
